Omega Men clean up Georgia Avenue
(taken from the Spring 1995 issue of The Oracle)
WASHINGTON, DC - On Saturday, October 1, 1994 the men of Alpha Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. took our enthusiasm to Georgia Avenue. With an early start, we began our clean-up at New Hampshire Avenue and ended at the Rhode Island Avenue intersection.
The clean-up was not only beneficial to the community, but also to the brothers of Omega as well. Brother Quentin Baldwin observed, "The gratification that we received from area businesses was overwhelming. We knew that our efforts were appreciated, and we hope that we have encouraged someone to follow our lead." The men of Omega Psi Phi would like to send our deepest appreciation to everyone who helped and supported the Georgia Avenue clean-up.
